How To Use Hydrosols

Simple, Skin Care

Great skin care doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Hydrosols are easily absorbed into your skin where they work to bring balance and proper pH. Hydrosols tone, hydrate, refresh, and more with their many plant components that promote healthy, vital skin.

Soap-free cleansing: Soap and other facial cleansers are often drying to skin as they work by dissolving the oils on our skin. This throws off the natural balance of our skin and causes the skin to become dry, tight, itchy, and more prone to problems. For minimalist skin care, consider using only water. For more thorough cleaning to remove make-up or other facial products, we enjoy the following routine: Saturate skin with 4-5 sprays of hydrosols. Massage with your favorite skin G8 "Magic Oil"

After cleansing: To tone and hydrate, spray directly on to skin or apply with a cotton ball. Allow the hydrosol to fully absorb into your skin, repeating as many times as you like. Apply a few drops of your favorite skin friendly oil or facial serum to the palm of your hand, add 2-3 sprays of hydrosols, and press gently onto face and neck.

Weekly facial mask treatment: For a deeply moisturizing treat, saturate clean skin with hydrosol. Combine just enough hydrosol with "Magic oil" . Apply liberally to the skin and allow to set for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and moisturize with your favorite moisturizer and plenty of hydrosol. For oily skin or problem areas, mix Soothing Cream with ydrosol. Paint onto face, allow to dry, rinse with warm water and soft cloth. Moisturize with your favorite moisturizer and plenty of hydrosol.

Distressed skin: Sunburned, wind or cold stressed, or dry and itchy skin all benefit from frequent hydrosol sprays. Friends with eczema proclaim their love for Roman Chamomile hydrosols.

Herbal soak: Add 1-2 oz. to a foot bath or sitz bath for a deep herbal soak. 2-4 oz. for a full tub soak.

Body spray: Hot baths and showers often leave skin tight and dry, especially if you have hard water. A liberal spray of hydrosol is not only a lovely perfume, but also hydrates and restores balance to your skin and hair, head to toe.

Natural perfume: Hydrosols are refreshing, natural perfume's that bring a light, pleasant scent to your hair, skin, and clothes.
